Strike while the iron is hot!

The terms takes on a new meaning…

Apologies to Hoto. I might take you up on the offer the week after next, if I have extra money. I still need to save for that Bolinao trip. Yehey to us!!!!

Paging Nina, when’s ours?

*****

Blame the movie trailer for this. Argh, Paris! I effin hate you!!!

Hottie:

Robert Downey Jr. is sooooo hot! Has always been a fan of his ever since I saw Heart and Souls (one of the very few chick flicks I’ve ever watched in my lifetime) as a kid. Not even his on-and-off stints with substance abuse have deterred me from making a fool of myself over him. The guy is oozing plenty of talent and charisma. Not too far off Tony Stark, actually. And having ad libbed most of his lines, RDJ lends a humorous, sarcastic, and arrogant wit to the character of Papa Tony. I knew he could pull it off! Yehey!

Nottie:

What could be a nottie with Robert Downey, Jr.? Oh wait, Dyosa asked how he is able to keep his mustache and beard neatly trimmed during captivity. I answered, if he could build a mini arc reactor, then he could build an electric shaver!

Hottie:

Jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane is insane! Well, he’s no Denzel Washington on Training Day (huh? talking about complexity and character portrayal :P ) but the shaved head and the gray beard were cool enough in my book.

Oh, and the robot-helpers are sooo cute. Alex, can I get one of those? They have more character than let’s say…

(not-so) Nottie:

Gwyneth Paltrow (ak.a. Mrs. Chris Martin. Still haven’t forgiven her for marrying and spawning with him) is a cute Pepper Potts. The chemistry is there but I think this is more RDJ’s doing. She was okay, and like I said, cute. Definitely a lot better than Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes in Batman Begins. But something was missing… I think Jessica Zafra put it nicely with Robogeek.

Hottie:

The costume is the bomb! I give kudos to technology and the genius of the guys who designed and built it for for making it work.

Nottie:

Ironman reminds me of the guy from hip-hop abs when he gets ready to fly. Mind his stance with the hands at his sides. See it to believe it.

NEXT!

Hottie:

Cool trailers: Kungfu Panda (Jack Black - I LOVE YOU!), Perfect Creature ( a New Zealand dark vampire film… vampires? dark? hell, yeah!), Wanted (Yes, Angelina maybe a weirdo but she is a hottie! Besides, I appreciate weirdo. James McAvoy is slowly pushing Ewan McGregor from the top of my Hot Scots list. And Morgan Freeman, need I say more?), Indiana Jones and the whatever skull (Sorry, I am not a Shia fan. But I adore Harrison Ford and his character. Too bad, Sean Connery is no longer a part of this film. I still maintain that The Last Crusade is the best Indie Jones film ever.) and Incredible Hulk (Edward Norton, I LOVE YOU TOO!). Sigh… that’s PHP 640.00 worth of movie tickets)

Nottie:

The fact that they’re showing these trailers to a GP audience. Oh, the fact that they rated the movie a GP in the first place. MTRCB, what’s wrong with you people? We have enough demented kids already! Classic example: ME!!!

NEXT!

SPOILER ALERT!!! (Highlight the space under “Hottie”)

Hottie:

Samuel L. Jackson is Nick Fury!!! There are still two Ironman films to look forward to! W00t!!!

Nottie:

People left before the credits ended. Tsk! My friends and I have made a habit of staying.

The ending credits is part of the movie. You paid for the movie, you watch it.

You also get to store nice facts (i.e. key grip, soundtrack info, filming info, who used stunt doubles, who are the stunt doubles, which actors had special assistants, etc.)

You get to play “Spot the Pinoy!” Read the names and spot those which sound Pinoy (Jhun de la Cruz is no mistake a Pinoy). There is always at least one in every film.

There are goodies at the end of the film! The director’s idea of a good joke.
